Hawaiian Themed Cake Smash
Athiyan’s mom and dad went back and forth on a theme for his first birthday to make it just right. I have never done a Cake Smash in a Hawaii theme before, but it was so much fun to put together. They wanted his name included in the backdrop.
His hawaiian outfit, leaves and lights are from Amazon, The metal letters and bench (can you believe it is a plant stand!) seen with a Pineapple on are from Hobby Lobby. I have had these crates for a few years, from Joanns Craft store, and the surf boards and beach sign my seven year old daughter helped me design - she is super artsy! Her idea to make the surf boards was pieces of foam cut with scissors and wrapped in wood shelf liner. We used some scissors to cut cardstock to wrap around the boards for a fun design, and we used my Cricut to cut the word Beach. Fresh Pineapples and Coconuts are from our local grocery store as is the low sugar cake! The white stool shown is from a seller on Etsy and the quality is SO good.
